Hillary Cuthbert
Hillary is the owner and operator of Hillary & Co, where she leads a team of talented stylists and ensures that every client is cared for. Mentorship is at the heart of how she leads, she's passionate about training apprentices and helping them grow their skills and build careers they're proud of.
A trained colourist and extension specialist herself, Hillary brings that same standard of craft to everything the salon offers. She specializes in natural looking colour, grey blending, and coverage, and has spent over six years applying hair extensions, plus more than a decade wearing them herself, giving her both the technical expertise and personal insight to guide clients through the process. She's certified in all major extension methods, including keratin bonds, tape-ins, and wefts.
Dedicated to continuous growth, Hillary stays current on the latest trends and techniques and ensures her whole team does too, with ongoing training in Goldwell colour and ongoing advanced education across the salon. It's how she ensures every service at Hillary & Co feels elevated and current.
Katelyn Haagaard
Born and raised in Canmore, Katelyn is proud to call the Bow Valley home. A Class of 2024 graduate of Canmore Collegiate High School, she was one of the first students to take part in the school's cosmetology program, and that's where her love for hairstyling started. From there, she joined the Hillary & Co team in 2023 as an apprentice and went on to complete her hair school training hours at NIWE.
She's since grown into a talented hairstylist and the salon's energy and hype girl, she is the one who organizes and creates the direction for photoshoots, and helps train and onboard new apprentices who join the team.
Katelyn is deeply passionate about her craft and has already spent a lot of time investing in advanced education including Redken's Principles of Design Cutting, Goldwell Colour Formulation Training, and intensive Oribe product knowledge and cutting/styling demos. She's always eager to learn, and continues to expand her skills both in the salon and through ongoing online education.
Outside the salon, she's living the mountain lifestyle, hiking, skiing, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. With her fresh perspective, dedication, and drive to keep learning, Katelyn is excited to keep building her career behind the chair.
Shae Brown
Shae is a passionate, detail-driven stylist with a genuine love for crafting effortlessly beautiful hair. Specializing in blondes, lived-in colour, seamless extensions, and rich, dimensional coppers, she brings over eight years of experience, and an eye for the little details that make a colour look effortless, to every client she touches. Since joining Hillary & Co, she's continued building her craft through Goldwell colour training, and she knows the Kérastase and Oribe lines like the back of her hand, so your haircare routine is always in good hands too.
Her journey began in Saskatoon, SK, but her heart was always set on being near the mountains. She blends her expertise with a bubbly, laid back energy that makes every appointment feel like a catch up with an old friend good conversation, better recommendations (ask her for a new show to binge, she always delivers), and zero judgment for a second glass of red.
When she's not behind the chair, you'll find her chasing adventure, paddleboarding, hiking, or curled up with all things Housewives drama.

Mirabelle Trinidad
Mirabelle is an enthusiastic young apprentice excited to enter the world of hairstyling and aesthetics. A June 2026 graduate of the Canmore Collegiate cosmetology program, she found her passion for hair after three years of learning and practicing in the program and she's thrilled to be starting her professional journey with the team at Hillary & Co.
This fall, she'll head to hair school to continue building her skills, and in the meantime, she's part of the RAP program, gaining hands-on experience and hours right alongside the team. While she's just getting started in her hair journey, she's eager to keep learning and growing in the field.
Although she wasn't born in the valley, Mirabelle is proud to call Canmore home for over 10 years. When she's not in the salon, you'll find her playing volleyball, hiking, painting, snowboarding, or spending time with friends.
Michelle Serb
Michelle is a highly skilled barber with an impressive range of technical ability. Her expertise is unparalleled, and she consistently surpasses her clients' expectations, whether that's a precision skin fade, a hot shave, or a simple cut and trim. She began her career in Waterloo, Ontario before relocating to the mountains, where she's built a stellar reputation as a top-tier barber in Canmore. Since joining Hillary & Co, she's also completed Goldwell colour training, adding even more range to what she can offer behind the chair.
But Michelle's popularity isn't just about the cuts, it's her personal touch. Easy to talk to and effortlessly comfortable to be around, she's the kind of barber people end up seeing for years, not just one appointment.

Queenie
Meet Queenie, official salon sidekick, and the real reason some clients book back-to-back appointments (don't tell Hillary). Her job description includes greeting every guest at the door, expertly supervising from her favourite cozy spot, and soaking up as much attention as humanly - er, corgi-ly — possible. Big personality, tiny legs, zero chill when it comes to belly rubs.
When she's off the clock, Queenie's living her best life: daily walks, sniffing out new adventures around Canmore, and perfecting the art of the sunbeam nap. She may not hold scissors, but she's 100% certified in good vibes.
